The results are just in: sadly, the watch has higher than acceptable levels of lead and cadmium, both of them tied to serious illnesses, including Autism and cancer. As we know, media outlets often report on counterfeits and/or toxic materials in children’s toys, and those of us who listen tend to believe that this can be avoided if we were informed buying decisions. Unfortunately, as lab work and random testing suggests, that is not the case. Most toys test consistently off the chart on one type of toxin or another, sometimes several. Needless to say: if the toy is fake or counterfeit, it does not comply with many of the safety regulations.
